How We Might Work Together

I am here to hold the space as the therapeutic relationship builds

I can do this for short- and long-term sessions; the timing is within your control.

You don’t need to have a particular understanding or even know exactly what is wrong to come to see me. You might be struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationships, loss, life changes or confidence. Clients have begun with me not knowing who they are anymore, life feeling unmanageable with work, family difficulties, or simply have a sense that things just don’t feel right.

Sometimes we just know that we don’t want to continue feeling the way we have been feeling. We are tired feeling tired.

That's alright

You don't have to arrive with everything worked out. We can begin wherever you are.

Whatever brings you to therapy, we can start with what feels important to you.

Short term, long term, and your pace

Short term work

Some people find that a relatively small number of sessions is helpful, we call this short term work.

Longer term

While others value having a longer period of support. Longer term will allow you to really work through what has been holding you back or brought you here in the first place.

Checking in

Because Person-Centred Therapy, follows your individual needs rather than a fixed programme, we can regularly check in and reflect together on how therapy is feeling and what you need.

What is important is the number of sessions is up to you; it is within your control.

A weekly rhythm

What I do ask is that you come weekly, for however many sessions you feel. Having some regularity can help create a sense of continuity and safety for you.

Having been a client myself, I know that commitment is and was part of how my work was done. I was showing up for myself, putting myself first. Weird at first and then the sessions became the anchor around which everything else steadied and the work begun to be done.

However, we can discuss what works best for you when we first meet.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.
